Horses Available at a Later Date

The following horses should hopefully be available for adoption in the future, as we are currently attempting to resolve their soundness/health/handling issues.

Some horses are closer to being considered adoptable and will be made available for adoption SOON, while others are requiring more intensive or long-term work and won't be available for adoption until LATER (if at all).

If you see a horse you like, please don't hesitate to inquire about their status!  These horses may be available to adopt right away to qualified homes willing to finish the last of their rehabilitation.

   Horses Available SOON

Corporate Kitty
aka 'Kat'

Chestnut Jockey Club Thoroughbred mare
Approx. 15.3+ hands
Year of birth: 2000

Beautiful, graceful TB mare that is broke to ride and very personable.  Needs an experienced rider.

We are working on fixing a minor lameness issue that hopefully can be corrected with special shoeing on one hoof that has a permanent crack in it, and/or joint injections in a stiff knee she has on the same leg.

Pepper
(pics and info coming soon)

Gray appy POA mare
Approx. 14.2 hands
Estimated year of birth: 1993

 Horses Available LATER

Kaia & Denali

Cremello mustang-type ponies
Approx. 13.3 hands
Estimated year of birth: 2002 & 2005

Kaia and her son, Denali, are 2 Mustang ponies originally off of a reservation, that were rescued off a slaughter feedlot in horrid condition. They were both extremely emaciated, infested with ticks and lice, and very anemic.  We suspect that they have been abused in the past, or at the very least handled very roughly (as evidenced by the 2 huge homemade "barb wire" brands across their left side).

While we have gotten them somewhat halter trained, they still seem to be emotionally damaged and have trust issues with people.

Forest
(aka "Forest Stump")

Black Quarter Horse gelding
Approx. 15.1 hands
Estimated year of birth: 1997

Forest is by far one of the oddest horses in the world...  His neck is EXTREMELY short, thanks to what looks like a case of his vertebrae being all kinked up and crooked.  He also has an interesting curve to the canon bones of both hind legs.  Aside from those issues, he is a handsome horse, and a surprisingly nice, fluid mover.

We suspect he is broke to ride, but he has big trust issues with people and can be hard to handle (and extremely hard to catch!).  For now he is just hanging out while we work with other horses that a little higher on the priority list, but we hope to pair him with a trainer soon so he can hopefully make improvements.
