The horses in these photos are ones that have already gone to slaughter....ones that went through auctions and were bought for slaughter, or were already on killer feedlots, and that we were unable to save at the time.

The purpose in posting these photos here is so people may see the kinds of horses that are being sent to slaughter on a regular basis, and some of the horrible physical conditions they are left to suffer in (for days or even weeks) before having their lives brutally ended at a slaughterhouse.

Many of these horses could have been rehabilitated, or had no physical problems at all... Others were past the point of help, and it is their owners who have failed them by not taking the responsibility to treat them or have them euthanized.
